What are people's skills these days?
Organized? Leadership skills? Motivated? Attention to detail? Independent worker? Work well with others? Computer and internet savvy?
We can stare at a machine all day. Email. Type.
Look at kids these days. Everything is high tech. They hardly play outside anymore. No imagination. Communication skills are retarded by the evolution of texting and those clever acronyms. The youth today have terrible sociolization skills and manners.
Kids can't even give change back with a machine telling them what it is. Or better yet the registers that shoot out the correct change for them.
We have become so beholden to gadgets that they are crutches. Have you ever seen some in panic mode because there blackberry is missing? Or it was just in a place where the couldn't see it so that it could tell them where they left it.
Sad really. Man got along so well with ipads and blackberrys and whatever else is out there.
I am happy with my simple cell phone that can make phone calls. It serves its purpose.

Mission Statement
People have many things, but we only truly own three things. We have many possessions, cars, clothes, houses and gadgets. These things are temporary and, as they say, we don't take with us. Our thoughts, words and deeds are ours for life and, depending on your belief system, for all eternity.
With this realization comes my mission statement, my way of life. To me, if I think something that is what I should say and do. If not, I am worth nothing. If I say something it should be what I think and what I do. If not, I am worth nothing. If I do something it should be what I think I should do or what I said I would do. If not, I am worth nothing.
To me, the worst thing is to break your word. If you say you are going to do something, then do it. Too many people make empty promises or just break their word for their own convenience. Stand for you think, do what you say and you will have no regrets.

today
The first blog. This marks the beginning of random thoughts from a quiet, unassuming young man. Full of of deep introspective and shallow insights. A paradox of humanity indeed. A compromise of consertive and progressive, good and bad, right and wrong.
In a time of moral relativism, we are confronted with absolutes. No matter which side you stand on there is no debating because no one is willing to find common ground. I am right, you are wrong. Most of the time contention is based on misunderstanding of the assumed other position. The world wide web, the information super highway, has opened up so many channels that it is impossible to separate fact from fiction.
Living today is perplexing. An anointed time of enlightenment rendering the antiquted teachings of Religions as moot. Yet, it is a time when it appears we could use its wisdom and guidance the most.
This is just the beginning. More thoughts, words and deeds to come.
